MASSAGE with Ali Lecube, LMT
ali lecube was trained at the swedish institute in new york city and has been practicing massage therapy for the past 5 years. her table massage is a combination of swedish and shiatsu styles. she uses therapeutic-grade essential oils, that are individually blended, to support the body's deep relaxation and renewal. ali works with the energy of the body to help facilitate the easy flow of prana. she works towards creating heat and space in the body that allows for experiencing movement with optimal freedom. ali has been a student of anusara yoga for the last 7 years and has been practicing meditation for 20 years. she is a native new yorker and is thrilled to be working with the virayoga community.

***** BREATH WORK with Pamela Katch this work utilizes a simple, rhythmic breathing meditation to clear and organize our internal space, enabling us to make the most of our energy. used to neutralize negative thoughts and emotions [reactions, inherited patterns, or impulses picked up unconsciously from the environment], breath work reveals greater balance, relaxation, inner ease and inspired action. when this work is practiced with regularity, one is able to more and more easily discern the heart's desire and follow its reliable genius. this pranayama technique comes from the work of david elliot (to learn more, please visit www.reluctanthealer.com). pamela has been practicing this breath work since 2005, and is happy to offer its clarifying power to the virayoga community. she has trained with scott schwenk, and assisted him extensively in david elliott’s healer training program. she is a graduate of 2005 virayoga teacher training program with lois nesbitt, and grateful to all of her teachers, especially to elena brower, j. brown, hugo cory and scott schwenk. what is thai yoga massage? thai yoga massage is performed on a mat on the floor in loose and comfortable clothing. this technique, often referred to as assisted yoga, combines the benefits of massage with those of hatha yoga. thai yoga massage utilizes traditional massage techniques along the energy channels of the body to release tension and increase circulation. the receiver is then led through a comprehensive series of assisted stretches designed to open the muscles, tendons & joints / and re-balance the posture. the many benefits of this massage include: the release of physical tension / enhanced circulation, metabolism, and immunity / a calm and focused mental state / and a deep sense of well-being.
